Michigan State adds WR out of Ohio to 2024 recruiting class
Jonathan Smith’s Michigan State staff is putting in work to assemble the 2024 recruiting class with the Early Signing Period approaching. The newest Spartan commitment hails from Cleveland, Ohio metro area.
Austin Clay had been committed to Bowling Green. He flipped his verbal pledge to Michigan State on Monday, sharing the news on social media:

A Berea (Ohio) Midpark standout, Clay is listed as measuring 6-1, 165 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Clay is rated 3-stars, the No. 74 recruit in the state of Ohio, No. 207 wide receiver and No. 1,741 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.
Clay has picked up 7 scholarship offers during his recruitment. In addition to MSU and Bowling Green, he also had interest from Akron, Ball State, UMass, Navy and Penn.
