Michigan State released the latest results from the most recent round of COVID-19 testing, and there are no new additional positive results to add. The school released a statement on Thursday.

In the statement, Michigan State confirmed that 41 additional screenings have been conducted. One student-athlete who tested positive for the virus late last month was tested again and was still positive. There were no new positive results to report.

“For the individual who tested positive, daily check-in with athletic training staff will continue while the individual remains in isolation, with additional services provided as directed by the medical and administrative staffs,” the statement said. “Further testing and physician follow-up will be required prior to returning to any level of workouts.”

No athletic department staffers have tested positive at this time. Freshman football players also reported to campus this week.

Michigan State has reported a total of five positive COVID-19 tests since June 22.
