Michigan State is off to a surprisingly good start at 3-0.

They are coming off a big win beating No.24 Miami 38-17 down in South Beach.

This week, the win vaulted the Spartans into the AP Top-25 poll; they are sitting at No.20 in the nation.

They have wins over Northwestern and Youngstown State as well. The Spartans; B1G home opener is this Saturday vs. Nebraska.

Michigan State will be striping the stadium in green and white Saturday night.

The Spartans will face 3 AP Top-25 opponents in the B1G this season. Those opponents are vs No. 19 Michigan, at No. 10 Ohio State and vs No. 6 Penn State.

On the other hand, the Huskers are .500 to start the season as they have wins against Fordham and Buffalo. The Huskers’ losses are to Illinois and No.4 Oklahoma.

The last time Nebraska and Michigan State met, the Huskers came away with a 9-6 win in a snowstorm in Lincoln, NE., on November 17, 2018.
