The wintery conditions in East Lansing produced a memorable atmosphere. The snow started early and continued all game long as Michigan State and Penn State battled it out.

The Spartans took the lead late in the 3rd quarter on a short run by quarterback Payton Thorne. That made it 23-17 and the quarterback also provided a clutch throw in the 4th.

With the windy and snowy conditions making it tough for the kicking game, Michigan State elected to go for it on 4th-and-15 late in the contest. The roll of the dice paid off with Thorne finding Jayden Reed in a one-on-one matchup just inside the pylon.

That touchdown made it 30-20 at the time and proved to hold up as the Spartans held on for the 3-point win:
