Michigan State capitalized on a rare C.J. Stroud mistake.

Stroud was intercepted by Michigan State defensive back Charles Brantley, who took it 32 yards to the house. There were no Buckeye receivers in the area, suggesting some miscommunication between Stroud and his target. This is only the 3rd interception of Stroud’s season.

Interceptions are also a rarity for the Spartans, as this play is their first of the year.

The turnover tied the game at 7 and got the Spartan crowd back into the game.

The tie was short-lived, as Stroud bounced back to lead the Buckeyes on a scoring drive that took just over 1 minute. The drive was capped off by a 69-yard TD pass to Emeka Egbuka, to put the Buckeyes back in the lead.
