Michigan State defender withdraws from transfer portal to rejoin Spartans
Michigan State linebacker Khris Bogle isn’t going anywhere after all, according to a report from 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz.
Bogle decided to take his name out of the transfer portal after entering it back in December. It seems that Jonathan Smith has convinced Bogle to stick around in East Lansing.
The Spartans saw action from Bogle in 10 games this season. He’s accounted for 25 total tackles, 5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks since coming to Michigan State in 2022. Bogle’s career started at Florida in 2019. After 3 seasons with the Gators, Bogle opted to transfer and joined the Spartans.

Bogle, who entered the portal Dec. 9, is a former top-50 recruit who transferred to MSU from Florida.https://t.co/JOZMwcp4B7 pic.twitter.com/RLHKqwdu1s

Smith will have some work to do if he wants to reach a bowl game in his 1st season with the program. Michigan State missed out on bowl season with a 4-8 record this year. It has now been 2 seasons since the Spartans have played in a bowl game. The last one was the 2021 Peach Bowl.
The former Oregon State head coach is trying to build something in East Lansing and Bogle wants to be a part of it.
