Michigan State golfer James Piot captures US Open Amateur in dramatic comeback
Michigan State golfer James Piot wrapped up a memorable Sunday, capturing the 121st US Open Amateur in comeback fashion.
Heading to the Back 9, Piot trailed Austin Greaser of North Carolina by 3. But Piot turned it on down the stretch, capturing the title on the 17th after a missed putt by Greaser.
Here is how it wrapped up:

After the match, Piot was asked how it felt to capture the championship. He struggled to still believe his win had become a reality:
“I still don’t believe I’m holding this trophy,” explained Piot. “I still think I’m dreaming…to actually do it is the greatest thing ever.”
“I still think I’m dreaming!”@jamespiot1, this is NOT a dream.
