A marquee matchup between two power programs is on the docket for the 2022-23 college basketball season.

Per Stadium, Michigan State and Kentucky are scheduled to play on Nov. 15 in Indianapolis for the Champions Classic. The game will be played at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The event, which began in 2011, has always featured Michigan State, Kentucky, Duke and Kansas. That means Duke and Kansas — both Final Four participants in 2022 — will square off.

Michigan State owns a 4-7 all-time record in the event. The Spartans are 1-2 against Kentucky in the annual early-season event.

Last season, Michigan State finished the season with a 23-13 record, including an 11-9 mark in B1G play. The Spartans defeated Davidson in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Duke in the Round of 32.
