Freshman Michigan State kicker Jack Stone announced Monday afternoon that he would be entering the transfer portal.

Stone attempted just 4 kicks in his time at Michigan State.

This is the 2nd straight year this has happened to head coach Mel Tucker. Redshirt freshman kicker Jack Olsen left after the 2021 season and ended up at Northwestern.

Stone hit 2 kicks for the Spartans before being replaced by Ben Patton. he was 2 for 4 on the year, making 15 of 16 extra point attempts.

Stone nailed his only attempt over 50 yards this season with a 51-yarder against Penn State and was 1-for-3 on kicks between 40-49 yards. Truthfully, Patton was not much better this season, missing 4 of his 8 attempts on the year.
