Michigan State lands commitment from 2023 ATH, 3-star prospect out of California

Michigan State picked up another prospect Wednesday, reaching out to California for a commitment from a speedy athlete.
The player is Jaelon Barbarin, a 3-star ATH out of Simi Valley, California. Barbarin also held offers from Washington State, Kansas State and UNLV among others and spent the past two weeks making visits to Washington State and MSU.
In the end, he went with Mel Tucker and the Spartans:

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Barbarin is the No. 94 ATH nationally for the cycle. At 5-foot-9, Barbarin has been used both as a running back and as a receiver in high school and maintains some versatility at the next level.
