Michigan State has landed a commitment from one particularly intriguing prospect on the 2020 class.

Montorie Foster is a 6-foot-2 wide receiver out of Lakewood, Ohio. He is a member of the 2020 class, but he is not rated on the star system on the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.

Though that is certainly odd, Foster’s non-rating goes beyond simple performance. According to Foster’s Twitter account, 2019 is the first season he played high school football and the first year on the gridiron since the seventh grade. Most prospects generally have one or two seasons on the field to generate a rating heading into their senior year.

A hoops star who converted to the football field, Foster is undoubtedly a raw prospect. However, he definitely appears to have elite athletic ability and the capability to make plays with the ball in his hands.
