Michigan State is adding a highly-ranked kicker to its 2022 recruiting class.

The Spartans received a verbal pledge from 5-star kicker Jack Stone on Tuesday. He announced his decision with a post on Twitter. Stone has earned his 5-star rating from Kohl’s Kicking, which ranks him as the No. 21 kicker in the class.

“I will be continuing my academic and athletic career on full scholarship at Michigan State University,” Stone wrote on Twitter. “This is just the beginning…Let’s do this Spartan Nation. #Relentless.”

From Kohl’s Kicking:

Stone attended Kohl’s Texas Showcase in May of 2021. He has done well at multiple Kohl’s events and showed continued growth in May of 2021. Stone showed elite-level leg strength on his kickoffs and field goals at these events. Stone has tremendous power in his hips and he was impressive with his ball-striking throughout the events. He is a talented young prospect who has the tools to play at the next level. In July of 2020 he scored 24 points on FG’s and 108.78 points on KO’s at the National Scholarship Camp!

Stone is a native of Dallas, Texas and joins a Michigan State recruiting class that is currently ranked in the Top 30 nationally and sits at No. 6 in the B1G.
