Michigan State picked up a nice addition to its 2022 recruiting class on Monday afternoon.

The Spartans received a commitment from 3-star defensive back Ade Willie.

Here’s his announcement:

According to 247Sports, Willie is the No. 92 cornerback in the country for the class of 2022. Willie doesn’t currently have a composite rating.

Willie chose the Spartans over offers from Arizona, Colorado, Kansas State, West Virginia and others. He made an official visit to East Lansing back in June.

Willie attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. — one of the premier prep schools in the country for developing football talent. He’s listed at 6-foot-1, 185 pounds.

He’s Michigan State’s second recruit from the state of Florida for the class of 2022. He joins 3-star receiver Jaron Glover. The Spartans have also earned commitments in this class from Georgia, Tennessee and Texas.

Florida has become a target for Michigan State and second-year head coach Mel Tucker. The Spartans signed two players from the Sunshine State in the class of 2021.

Willie and other prospects in the class of 2022 will be able to sign with their respective schools during the Early Signing Period in December.
