Michigan State struggled in Week 1 with Utah State, but in the end, the Spartans survived and got away with a season opening victory over the Aggies.

For Week 2, Michigan State has to hit the road to face a Pac-12 team in Arizona State. The game is scheduled for a 10:45 p.m. start on Saturday at Sun Devil Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN.

On Friday, the Spartans landed in Phoenix, Ariz. They flew, of course. But what was unique about this trip was that Mark Coghlin — the father of Michigan State kicker Matt Coghlin — flew the team to Arizona.

Take a look:

Mark Coghlin, a pilot, is an Air Force veteran. He knows what he’s doing in the air.

Hopefully for the Spartans, they will know what they are doing on the ground Saturday night against the Sun Devils.
