Michigan State has a new quarterback in the 2022 class.
Sunday, the Spartans picked up a verbal commitment from 3-star California quarterback Katin Houser. Michigan State beat out several Power 5 programs for the commitment from Houser. He announced his decision with a post on Twitter.
Houser recently decommitted from Boise State.

Houser is one of the Top 400 overall prospects in the 2022 recruiting class and becomes the 12th player to commit in the 2022 class. He’s currently the highest-ranked prospect in Michigan State’s cycle.
Houser ranks as the No. 27 quarterback in the 2022 class and is also the No. 27 overall prospect out of California. He picked Michigan State over Iowa, Hawaii, Oregon State, Washington and Washington State at the Power 5 level.
Per 247Sports, Houser is an Elite 11 finalist.
Michigan State currently owns the No. 30 class in the nation and sits at No. 6 in the B1G.
