Michigan State LB named the Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week

Michigan State linebacker Jacoby Windmon has been named the Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week for his play in Week 1 of the College Football season.
He was a force for No. 15 Michigan State against Western Michigan, totaling 4 sacks, 7 tackles and a forced fumble to start his Spartans career.
Windmon transferred from UNLC in January of 2022.

Windmon raked 3rd in the Mountain West conference and led UNLV with 119 tackles last season. He was 13th across the FBS in that respect. He also led the Rebels in sacks with 6.5 on the season.
Michigan State looks to continue its strong start to the season next week against Akron.
