Michigan State is the only B1G team still in the mix for one of the top defensive backs in the 2022 recruiting class.

Myles Rowser, a 4-star safety out of Detroit, revealed his Top 4 schools on Monday, and Michigan State was the lone B1G squad included in the mix. The Spartans were included with Alabama, Kentucky and Arkansas, all out of the SEC.

Rowser is listed as a 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety who is the No. 3 prospect out of Michigan. He’s ranked as the No. 9 safety in the 2022 recruiting cycle and comes in at No. 131 nationally, per 247Sports.

A lot of interest has been generating regarding Rowser’s potential. The 4-star defensive back has received nearly 30 offers on the recruiting front. Some of the programs left out of the mix include Michigan, Florida, Florida State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Penn State, Purdue, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

Michigan State has three players committed to the 2022 class already, ranking No. 7 in the B1G and No. 30 nationally. Currently, only one of those players is an in-state product, 3-star athlete Tyrell Henry.
