Michigan State OL, member of 2018 recruiting class, heads for transfer portal
Michigan State is preparing for a New Year’s Six Bowl, and another Spartan has hit the transfer portal following the conclusion of the regular season.
On Friday, Rainer Sabin with the Detroit Free Press reported that offensive lineman James Ohonba has opted for the portal. The Spartans have already seen multiple players hit the portal, including some defensive backs and a wide receiver.
Michigan State has also been active in drawing players out of the portal, landing a linebacker from UNLV and another linebacker from Mississippi State.
Michigan State redshirt junior offensive lineman James Ohonba has entered the NCAA transfer portal, the @freepsports has learned.

Ohonba joined Michigan State as a 3-star member of the 2018 recruiting class out of Georgia. He did not see action in 2018 or 2019 before appearing in every game during the 2020 season as a reserve. He also appeared in 10 games during 2021.
