The Spartans are already down a number of players on offense and will be missing one more player for the second half against Northwestern.

Michigan State got off to a slow start against the Wildcats with just two field goals before halftime. Northwestern carried a 14-6 lead into the break and is looking to finish off the upset against the No. 20 Spartans.

To make matters worse, OL David Beedle was injured early on. The injury has not been specified and was to his left arm. Any hope that Beedle may return was also squashed after halftime.

Chris Solari with the Detroit Free Press shared the news that Beedle is in street clothes after the break with his arm in a sling:

Hopefully the Spartans can overcome his absence in the second half.
