After knocking off Indiana and improving to 6-1 on the season, Michigan State has been pegged as a slight favorite in this weekend’s game against Northwestern.
On Sunday night, Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press tweeted that the Spartans were tabbed as one- to two-point favorite as they travel to Evanston to battle the Wildcats.

Both Michigan State and Northwestern are coming off thrilling victories from last week. The Spartans knocked off Indiana 17-9, scoring two touchdowns in the final five minutes of the game. The Wildcats defeated Iowa 17-10 in an overtime contest.
Michigan State leads the all-time series between the programs 37-18, but Northwestern got the win last year in East Lansing, 54-50.
This weekend’s game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET and will air on ESPN.
