Two weeks separates us from the start of the B1G football season. The long, grueling offseason is finally reaching its end.

Michigan State is one of a handful of B1G teams that will open its season prior to Saturday, Aug. 31. The Spartans will take the field against Tulsa in East Lansing on Friday, Aug. 30 to kick off the 2019 campaign.

To get fans ready for the start of a new season, the school is planning on having a special look at Spartan Stadium. The game will be a “Stripe Out” for fans.

Even-numbered sections and the student section will wear green and odd-numbered sections will wear white. It should help provide an electric atmosphere in East Lansing for the first game of the season.

Michigan State and Tulsa are scheduled to kick things off at 7 p.m. ET on Aug. 30. The game will be aired on FS1.

The Spartans are currently a 22.5-point favorite.
