'Michigan State played a heck of a game': Joel Klatt impressed by Spartans in upset of Michigan
After Michigan State upset #13 Michigan on Saturday, analyst Joel Klatt talked about how impressed he was with the Spartans on the FOX College Football’s official Twitter page.
Klatt said, “Antjuan Simmons gets a game ball from me. He was tremendous. I thought that their offense did what they needed to do. No, they didn’t run the ball very effectively but Rocky Lombardi found the mismatch that he needed on the outside and that was using Ricky White, the freshman wide receiver, to go down the field and attack the corners from Michigan.”
He also talked about head coach Mel Tucker in this win and said, “Mel Tucker gets a huge win. He’s the first Michigan State coach to beat Michigan in his debut since 1995 (a guy named Nick Saban).”
