Morris is ranked as the 12th-best punter in the 2019 recruiting class. The Elsie, Michigan native is ranked as one of the top 70 players from his home state, per 247Sports.
The commitment will provide Michigan State with some reassurance at the position. Early this season, punter Jake Hartbarger was injured during the Spartans’ road game against Arizona State. Since then, Mark Dantonio has turned to backup quarterback Rocky Lombardi and backup kicker Tyler Hunt to fill in.
William Przystup is a freshman punter for Michigan State.
Currently, the Spartans’ 2019 recruiting class ranks fifth in the B1G and 27th nationally.
