Michigan State releases availability report for Week 4 contest vs. Maryland
Michigan State is back home at Spartan Stadium on Saturday, facing Maryland in a B1G East Division matchup.
The Spartans were hammered by Michael Penix Jr. and Washington a week ago, losing 41-7 in Harlon Barnett’s debut as interim head coach. Penix threw for 473 yards and 4 touchdowns as the Huskies outgained the Spartans 536-208, with the Spartans dropping to 2-1.
Michigan State will now look to bounce back and return to the win column. Ahead of kickoff against the Terrapins, the Spartans released their availability report as mandated by the B1G. Among those ruled out are Chuck Brantley, Dre Butler, Jaren Mangham, and Jacoby Windmon, while 4 others are being considered questionable.
Michigan State has won 6 of the last 8 games between the 2 teams. However, Maryland won last year’s contest by a 27-13 score. All-time, the Spartans hold a 10-3 lead in the series.
Kickoff from East Lansing is set for 3:30 p.m. The game will be televised on NBC.
