With three days until kickoff, Michigan State has finally released it.

The depth chart is out for the Spartans’ Week 1 bout against Tulsa on Friday night in East Lansing. There are plenty of interesting notes on the offensive side of the football.

Connor Heyward is the No. 1 running back for the first game of the season, with La’Darius Jefferson or Elijah Collins penciled in at the backup spot. Mark Dantonio said during his press conference that the running back position will be “fluid” and the Spartans will use plenty of bodies.

Cody White, Jalen Nailor and Darrell Steward will serve as the three primary receivers on Friday night, as well. As expected, Brian Lewerke is the starting quarterback with Rocky Lombardi serving as the backup.

Michigan State is coming off a 7-6 campaign and a Redbox Bowl appearance. The Spartans are hoping to challenge in the B1G East again this fall.
