Spring ball is underway in East Lansing. On Tuesday, Michigan State got its spring season underway, starting the first of 15 practices over the course of the next month.

With spring getting underway for Mel Tucker and the Spartans on Tuesday, the program released the complete schedule for practices this year. Michigan State will be on the field every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for the next month, concluding the spring with a scrimmage on Saturday, April 24.

No time was announced for Michigan State’s annual spring game on that date.

Michigan State is entering the second season under Tucker, finishing the 2020 campaign with a 2-5 record. Tucker didn’t get much time with his new program last spring, with practices being shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be his first full spring in East Lansing.

Though the final record wasn’t what most had hoped for, the Spartans did post wins over rival Michigan and Top 10 opponent Northwestern during the regular season.
