Michigan State will take on Youngstown State in its home opener on Sept. 11. Michigan State is coming off a road victory at defending B1G West champion Northwestern.

As kickoff approaches, Michigan State posted a video on Twitter welcoming fans back to Spartan Stadium:

Michigan State fans are going to be pumped to cheer on the Spartans for the first time at home this season.

Michigan State posted a 1-3 home record during the shortened 2020 season, which was the first at the helm for head coach Mel Tucker. Michigan State leads the all-time series 2-0 vs. Youngstown State, with the last matchup coming in 2013.

Youngstown State edged Incarnate Word 44-41 in overtime during its season opener. Youngstown State is coming off a 1-6 record in 2020.

Michigan State-Youngstown State is slated for a 12 p.m. EST kickoff and will be televised on the BTN.
