Michigan State reportedly resumes group workouts
Michigan State’s attempts to resume activities from the pause related to COVID-19 cases received some good news Saturday.
According to Chris Solari with the Detroit Free Press, the Spartans were able to resume group works Saturday. The team did not practice Thursday or Friday due to the pause in activities.
Solari also indicated that a spokesperson confirmed the third player to test positive for Michigan State was Joshua Langford Wednesday. It was Langford’s positive test that led the team to postpone two games and pause activities. Steven Izzo and Mady Sissoko were the first two to test positive.
For now, Michigan State’s status for next Saturday against Illinois remains TBD:
An MSU spokesman confirms Joshua Langford is the third Spartan player to test positive for COVID-19. Langford tested positive after practice Wednesday, which triggered the cancelation of Thursday’s game at Iowa and Sunday’s game with Indiana. MSU’s game vs. Illinois remained TBD.

Hopefully the worst spread of the virus is done within Michigan State’s program. It sounds like barring a negative turn, the Spartans should be back up and running soon.
On the court, Michigan State is still looking to find a groove. The Spartans had won back-to-back games before squandering a big lead in the loss to Purdue.
