When a head coach makes a comment, you never know what is going to come of it.
So after Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker made a post-game comment about the Spartans wearing down Miami during their 38-17 thrashing of the Canes, the MSU student section jumped on it.
Tucker made the comment, “we wanted to drag them into the deep water where we live, with the strain and the struggle and the pressure.”

Mel Tucker has gone all-in with his usage of “the Woodshed” nickname for Spartan Stadium. And now, the student section has followed in a similar fashion.
The No. 17 Spartans welcome Western Kentucky to Spartan Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 2 — and it’s safe to say “The Deep End” will be full. Kickoff time is set for 6:30 PM.
