Michigan State is staying with what works for Week 3.

On Wednesday, the Spartans revealed their uniform combo for Saturday’s game against Prairie View A&M. With a variety of options for helmets, jerseys and pants, Jonathan Smith’s squad will sport the classic combo of green helmets, green jerseys and white pants.

Green-green-white was the same combo MSU wore in its home opener a 16-10 win over Florida Atlantic in Week 1. The Spartans were on the road last week and went with an all-white combo in the 27-24 B1G win over Maryland.

The Prairie View A&M game (3:30 p.m. ET, Big Ten Network) should provide a tuneup before Michigan State enters the toughest stretch of its 2024 schedule. ESPN’s FPI gives MSU a 98.2% chance of winning on Saturday.

After Prairie View A&M, the Spartans will face ranked opponents in 4 of the next 5 contests. Michigan State will be back on the road in Week 4 to face a Boston College squad currently ranked No. 24. Smith’s squad will then take on No. 3 Ohio State and No. 9 in back-to-back weeks. MSU gets a bye week before hosting Iowa (Oct. 19) and then traveling to Ann Arbor for the annual rivalry showdown with No. 17 Michigan.
