Michigan State has added a Pac-12 power to its future schedule. Like, way in the future.

Thursday, Michigan State announced that it has scheduled a home-and-home series with Washington for the 2028 and 2031 seasons. The two teams have not played since the 1997 Aloha Bowl.

The other two meetings between the two programs came in 1969 and 1970.

The 2028 matchup will be played at Husky Stadium in Seattle. The 2031 battle will take place at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing.

Michigan State has scheduled several Pac-12 opponents recently, and has other trips out West planned for the future. The Spartans will host Oregon in 2029 and will travel to play the Ducks in Eugene in 2030.

This season, the Spartans traveled to Tempe to play Arizona State.

In future schedules, Michigan State also has games scheduled against BYU (2020) and Boise State (2022, 2023).

Washington leads the all-time series between the two schools 2-1. The Huskies won the Aloha Bowl matchup 51-23.
