Another notable name out of Michigan State is entering the transfer portal. Shortly after QB Payton Thorne, a multi-year starter, entered his name into the portal, the Spartans’ leading wide receiver followed.
Keon Coleman is reportedly also exploring transfer opportunities for 2023.

Out of Opelousas (Louisiana) Catholic School, Coleman was a 4-star recruit in the 2021 recruiting class. He chose Michigan State out of 43 scholarship offers.
As a freshman, Coleman made 10 appearances. He logged 7 catches for 50 yards and a touchdown in 2021. The 2022 season would be a breakout year for Coleman.
Coleman was a bright spot for MSU in a disappointing 2022 campaign. He led the Spartans in receptions (58), receiving yards (798) and TD catches (7) as a sophomore. Coleman was a third-team All-Big Ten selection by the media and recognized as an All-B1G honorable mention by the conferences coaches.
