Michigan State enters its season finale as a significant road favorite against Rutgers.

On Sunday, Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press tweeted that the Spartans opened as a 13-point favorite for next Saturday’s match-up against the Scarlet Knights. The line was according to Wynn Las Vegas.

The Spartans are coming off a 17-7 win over Maryland on Saturday and are entering the game with an 8-3 record. Rutgers, on the other hand, was blown out in Bloomington, suffering a 41-0 loss to Indiana. The Scarlet Knights are 4-7.

Michigan State and Rutgers have met eight times on the field, with the Spartans owning a 5-3 lead in head-to-head match-ups. The Spartans are a perfect 3-0 against the Scarlet Knights since they joined the B1G.

Last year, MSU posted a 49-0 win in East Lansing. Rutgers has not defeated Michigan State since 2004.
