A Michigan State tight end is reportedly looking at continuing his college football career elsewhere.

Parks Gissinger is reportedly in the transfer portal as a graduate transfer, according to Rainer Sabin of the Detroit Free Press.

Gissinger joined the program in 2018, but played in just 8 games during the 2019 and 2021 seasons. He redshirted in 2018 and then played in 4 games during the 2019 season. In 2020, he did not see any game action. This past season, Gissinger appeared in 4 games before suffering an injury that sidelined him the rest of the year.

A California native out of Chaminade High School, Gissinger was considered a 3-star weak-side defensive end by the 247Sports Composite. He signed with MSU over 9 other offers. He is listed as a tight end on the MSU roster. Gissinger recorded one catch, a 5-yard reception in 2019. He’s a 2-year letterwinner (2019, 2021) and 3-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
