Michigan State to debut new alternate uniform in Friday night game vs. Purdue
Michigan State is gearing up for the final 2 games of the season with a chance to still make it to a bowl game. The first step is a Friday night showdown vs. Purdue, and the Spartans are rolling out a new look under the lights.
This week, the Spartans will be mixing and matching different components of the new uniform designs unveiled last season. The combination will feature the black helmet and black pants but with the dark green jersey, giving MSU its first game with the black-green-black combination.
The black helmet is a particularly unique touch with a dark green Sparty logo and set off with a dark green face mask to make the lid pop. As for the pants, they are black with the similar green accents from the helmet, but the green jersey features the traditional white accents.

Michigan State holds a 36-29-1 all-time edge in the series vs. Purdue, but the Boilermakers hold the most recent win from 2021. Purdue has not faced the Spartans with Ryan Walters at the helm, and this will be Jonathan Smith’s first game against the Boilermakers.
