Michigan State to wear neon uniforms, helmets during Week 2 game vs. Akron
Love them or hate them, but Michigan State’s neon uniforms will be making an appearance on Saturday against Akron.
And this time, they have a little of a new look, specifically the helmet. Originally, the Spartan helmet was in neon green on a Spartan green background with a white stripe down the middle. The new helmets feature an outline of the Spartan helmet, on a neon green/Spartan green gradient. The word “STATE” in caps is now across the front in neon green.
And the jerseys themselves involve some modifications as well. You can take a look at the uniform below, modeled by football and basketball player Keon Coleman:

Michigan State and Akron are set to face off at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
