Michigan State to wear special helmet decal in remembrance of 9/11

On the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, Michigan State will pay homage to the lives that were lost when it takes on Youngstown State.
The Spartans will wear a special ribbon decal on their helmets with the colors of the American flag and the dates 9/11/01 and 9/11/21 inscribed on it.

It will also be the debut of the green home uniforms as Michigan State plays its first game at Spartan Stadium of the 2021 season.
Michigan State is coming off a season-opening 34-21 victory over Northwestern in Evanston and will look to carry that momentum into Week 2 of the young season. The Spartans are set to kick off against Youngstown State on Sept. 11 at noon ET on the B1G Network.
