Michigan State's Marcus Bingham Jr. ties impressive program record
Marcus Bingham Jr. has secured his spot in the Michigan State record books.
During Saturday’s 68-65 win over No. 4 Purdue, Bingham recorded block No. 153 of his career, which ties the all-time mark in Spartans history. The record was set by Xavier Tillman.
Bingham in averaging 2.3 blocks per game this season. He’s been one of the top shot blockers and shot changes in the conference throughout the course of the year.

This season, Bingham is averaging 9.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest for the Spartans, now sitting at 19-9 and 10-7 in B1G play. Though he didn’t do much statistically in Saturday’s game — finishing with 2 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in 13 minutes — he’s been a staple throughout the year.
Bingham’s next block will set a new program record. He’ll have games against Michigan, Ohio State and Maryland to get block No. 154 and beyond.
