MSU QB Rocky Lombardi admits to trying to do to much in loss to Iowa
In Week 2, Michigan State quarterback Rocky Lombardi was a force to be reckoned with in a win against Michigan.
In Week 3, however, Lombardi came back to earth against Iowa and did so big time. He and the Spartans offense produced just 7 points in a blowout loss to Iowa at Kinnick Stadium.
After throwing for 323 yards in Week 2 to go along with 3 touchdowns, Lombardi only threw for 227 yards and three interceptions.
Lombardi did address his poor performance following Saturday’s loss.
Rocky Lombardi: “it definitely was tough.” Says he “tried to do a little too much and probably overstepped my boundaries a little bit.” Turnovers killed the game for MSU, he adds.

Good for Lombardi to address his performance. This Michigan State team is leaving a lot of people really confused. Week 4 may give us some more clarity about who the Spartans really are.
