Nick Samac is a veteran piece for the Michigan State offense and the team’s starting center in 2022. On Sunday, he revealed his plans to come back for one final year with the Spartans, giving the offensive line a key piece for the 2023 season.

“Spartan Nation, I have been blessed to play at Michigan State University for the last four years of my life,” wrote Samac. “This journey has brought me a lot of knowledge and relationships that I will keep with me forever, but my brothers and I have unfinished business.

“With that being said, I will be using my final year of eligibility and returning to Michigan State for the 2023 season. See you soon Spartan Nation.”

Samac has appeared in 38 career games and has 22 starts at center for the Spartans since joining the program in the 2019 recruiting class. His decision is a big win for Mel Tucker’s program looking to bounce back from a 5-7 record in 2022.
