Christmas came a little early for Michigan State forward Nick Ward.

Sunday night, the Spartans hosted Wisconsin-Green Bay in a non-conference showdown in East Lansing. Ward posted the outing of his career.

Ward started the game making his first 11 shots and finished the night with just miss from the field. He ended the evening converting 12-of-13 shot attempts for 28 points. He also totaled nine rebounds, four blocks and an assist as Michigan State posted a 104-83 win.

For Ward, he had career highs in points, blocks, field goal attempts and made field goals. Not a bad outing for the Spartans forward.

Michigan State improved to 9-2 on the season with the win over Wisconsin-Green Bay. It has just two non-conference matchups remaining, hosting Oakland and Northern Illinois before heading back into B1G play.

One thing is for sure, if Ward continues to perform at a level like he did Sunday evening, the Spartans are in really good shape heading back into the league schedule.
