No. 8 Michigan State is more hyped than ever, but the Spartans are trying to show their potential for the B1G title is not hype.
Michigan State will be hosting No. 6 Michigan in the Battle of the Paul Bunyan Trophy in Week 9’s biggest game of the week. Heading into the week of preparation, the Spartans dropped a highlight reel of some of their top plays through Week 8.

The game against their rival on Saturday will be Michigan State’s biggest game of the year so far. Michigan will be Michigan State’s second-ranked opponent of the year. This game on Saturday will be the determining factor if Michigan State is a serious competitor for the B1G and the College Football Playoff.
Michigan State defeated Michigan in Ann Arbor last season with a 27-24 score, but Michigan has won 3 of the last 5 meetings.
