Pat Narduzzi is getting ready to coach his Pittsburgh squad in the Quick Lanes Bowl, a game that looked like it might feature Michigan State for some time.

In the end, Mark Dantonio and the Spartans are headed to the Pinstripe Bowl to face Wake Forest. A matchup between Dantonio and his former assistant will have to wait, but Narduzzi was asked about that hypothetical matchup on Wednesday.

According to Matt Wenzel with MLive.com, Narduzzi claimed he knows all of Dantonio’s trick plays and has them all on tape. Narduzzi also believes he can almost read Dantonio’s mind, but he’s currently glad the Quick Lanes Bowl isn’t against his best friend:

Narduzzi initially joined Dantonio on his staff at Cincinnatti in 2004. He went with Dantonio when he took the Michigan State job in 2007 and served as the defensive coordinator until taking the head job at Pitt in 2015.

Maybe one day we will see a Narduzzi vs Dantonio showdown. For now, Pittsburgh will face Eastern Michigan with MSU heading to New York City to face Wake Forest.
