Pat Narduzzi sets Pittsburgh's OC duties for Peach Bowl vs. Michigan State
Michigan State and Pittsburgh will square off for the Peach Bowl this Thursday. On Sunday, Panthers head coach Pat Narduzzi set the offensive staff for that showdown with the Spartans.
After the conclusion of the regular season, Pittsburgh OC Mark Whipple left the program to take the OC job with Scott Frost at Nebraska. Whipple did not remain with the Panthers for their bowl game, putting Narduzzi’s offensive staff in a little bit of limbo.
On Sunday, Narduzzi announced TE coach Tim Salem will be the OC for the game. Salem is also the brother of former Michigan State assistant Brad Salem.
According to Narduzzi, it has been a smooth transition for the program. Salem does have prior coordinator experience after leading the special teams unit at Illinois and previously serving as an OC at UCF, Eastern Michigan, and Purdue.
