Former Michigan State quarterback Brian Hoyer has been resigned by the New England Patriots. The news was reported by multiple outlets earlier this week.

Hoyer has had multiple stints with the Patriots organization, initially starting his career in New England from 2009-11. He rejoined the franchise from 2017-18 and then again last season. His new deal is on a 1-year contract.

This will be Hoyer’s 13th season in the NFL since leaving Michigan State. He was a member of New England’s Super Bowl LIII team, as well.

During his first 12 seasons in the NFL, Hoyer has thrown for 10,404 yards with 52 touchdowns and 35 interceptions while completing 59.2% of his passes. He has a lifetime passer rating of 82.1.

Hoyer was an undrafted quarterback out of Michigan State. In his time with the Spartans, Hoyer threw for 6,159 yards and 35 touchdowns.
