Payton Thorne finds Jayden Reed for Michigan State’s game-winner in 2OT thriller

Payton Thorne and Jayden Reed got a chance to produce a game-winning score for Michigan State Saturday. This time, the offense did not leave the ending up to the special teams unit.
After a botched snap and hold for a game-winning try at the end of regulation, the Spartans and Badgers went into double overtime knotted at 28-all. Then, Michigan State forced Braelon Allen to fumble.
At that point, all the Spartans needed was a field goal or better to win, but the team did not want to leave that result up to chance. Facing a 3rd-and-12, Thorne saw Reed in a one-on-one matchup and gave his guy a chance.
Reed went up and came down with the contested grab, giving the Spartans a walk-off win on homecoming in East Lansing:
