Payton Thorne is making sure to not worry about social media this season. Kyle Austin of Mlive posted Thorne’s comments on the topic.

Thorne has 900 yards passing with 7 touchdowns and 6 interceptions this season for Michigan State through four games. He mentioned how he has not been paying attention to social media, and that it’s a waste of time.

“I’m not interested in Twitter. Twitter is a great place for negativity, and that’s not just football, that’s everything. I got sick of it. I’m like ‘What am I getting out of this by having Twitter other than wasting my time and having a whole bunch of negativity?”

Thorne will need to focus in order to improve on the mistakes he has made this season. He’s getting close to his interception numbers from 2021. Thorne had 10 interceptions all of last year.

The Spartans were blown out in their B1G home opener vs. Minnesota 34-7 in Week 4.

Michigan State will have another chance to turn things around against Maryland on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on FS1.
