Michigan State is one of the best teams in the country. They are 8-0, 5-0 in B1G play and have one of the best RBs in the nation.

Kenneth Walker III is having an incredible season.  On Saturday vs. Michigan, he solidified his spot as one of the sport’s top players after running the ball 23 times for 197 yards on 8.5 yards per carry and 5 touchdowns.

Walker, this season has carried the ball 175 times for 1,194 yards on 6.8 yards per carry and 14 touchdowns. He also has a receiving touchdown.

PFF analyst Anthony Treash believes that Walker is leading the way for the Heisman trophy.

“He should be the leader in the clubhouse for the Heisman Trophy,” said Anthony Treash of PFF College.

A few other Heisman hopefuls are mainly from SEC country in Ole Miss QB Matt Corral and Alabama QB Bryce Young. The B1G’s best hope for a Heisman trophy this season lies in the hands of Walker if he can keep running all over defenses.

This could potentially be the 2nd year in a row that a non-QB wins college football’s most prestigious award.

Michigan State goes on the road to face Purdue this Saturday at 3:30 ET on ABC.
