Aaron Henry was hopeful to hear his name called during the 2021 NBA Draft, but the former Spartan did not hear his name called.

Fortunately, Henry has landed an opportunity to start his career in the NBA. The Philadelphia 76ers signed Henry to a two-way deal, and he will be with the 76ers when they open Summer League play on Monday.

On Sunday, Philadephia officially introduced Henry as a member of the 76ers. He will also wear No. 20 during the summer league.

Asked about the opportunity, Henry admitted that he is glad the process of landing with a team is over. Now, it’s all about getting off to a solid beginning with Philadelphia.

“Just excited, for sure,” said Henry. “I’d be lying to say if I wasn’t ready to get in the gym. I’d be lying to say that I wasn’t ready to play. It’s just the beginning, but I’m just excited to play.”

Over three seasons at Michigan State, Henry appeared in 97 games (77 starts) while averaging 10 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists while shooting 46% from the floor. Best of luck to Henry as begins his NBA career.
