The Philadelphia Eagles have officially signed linebacker Joe Bachie to their practice squad.

The announcement came from their Twitter account Monday:

After the Eagles put that tweet out, Bachie quoted tweeted it on his Twitter with some exciting words:

Before Bachie signed with the Eagles, he was with the New Orleans Saints on their practice squad so he hasn’t gotten into any game action yet.

He went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, but before that, he played four years at Michigan State. Bachie appeared in 40 total games for the Spartans and had 285 total tackles, eight sacks, and five interceptions.

Bachie was an impressive defender during his time in East Lansing, earning All-B1G nominations after his junior season. Unfortunately, his senior season was cut short due to a failed drug test.

We will have to see when Bachie gets his first shot at action, but hopefully he gets a serious opportunity with the Philadelphia defense.
